LANTRA courses are accredited courses for the professional 4x4 off-road driver. High quality, practical training for off road drivers and 4x4 users.
Through our LANTRA courses, as an accredited training centre, we are ideally positioned to provide all your off-road and driver training needs with courses which are engaging, enjoyable and meet all your legal requirements.
Even the most experienced off-road drivers can find themselves in hazardous and potentially dangerous situations. Serious accidents can and do occur without proper training. LANTRA has over 40 years experience in developing training awards and we therefore offer their awards for our 4x4 off-road driving courses as they are seen by many as the market leader meeting legal requirements for professional 4x4 users.
Training is a legal requirement if you drive off-road for business purposes. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require employers to provide adequate training and to ensure that vehicles are driven by employees who have received the appropriate training in their safe use. If you are self-employed, the regulations still apply.
But more importantly, as with any driving you need to make sure you are properly trained for your own safety and to help avoid accidents and potential injuries.
Any of our off-road 4x4 driving courses courses can be accredited as LANTRA courses. We can set up courses for individuals and for groups either at our centre in Andover or at centres around the country.
- Two day LANTRA professional user - the standard two day benchmark course, required by many organisations to demonstrate your competence with 4x4s. After successful completion you will be awarded a certificate and nationally recognised Skills ID card. This is the course if you have limited or no experience and need to use 4x4's at work.
- One day LANTRA Experienced user - for existing LANTRA operators or Experienced Off Road drivers. Follows the same syllabus as the 2 day professional user course but expects prior knowledge. It is an integrated training and assessment course. It leads to a Certificate of Basic Training, each candidate will receive written feedback and action plans where required.
- ATV and winch courses
As with all our training courses, it is done in small groups (max 3), so that you receive plenty of individual attention and practice time for skills to develop. Just get in touch to discuss your our LANTRA courses and we'd be happy to help.
