First aid training for outdoor or wilderness environments
Our first aid courses are designed specifically for workers operating in outdoor, remote or wilderness environments. The training focusses on problem prevention and effective patient management when access to definitive care is difficult or delayed. Topics covered include trauma, illness, tropical diseases, hygiene, evacuation and monitoring. Communication with a support team and an on-call doctor are integral to successful patient outcomes, and are heavily practised throughout the training. Our courses are tailored to meet our clients' environments, work types, support and communication systems. Training is practical and scenario-based.
Location: Preferably in the environment where the workers will operate; also UK-based.
Duration: Generally 2-5 days.
Often delivered with: Incident management and crisis team training.

Incident management training
Incident Managment training is largely scenario-based, and aims to test and improve an organisation's response to an off-site incident. The scenarios integrate search, first aid, evacuation, media management, crisis management, contingency planning, comms and emergency response planning and focus on ensuring that company processes and structures are 100% effective.
Location: Training is usually held in the environment in which incidents would normally be managed.
Duration: According to the client's needs; often 1-2 days.
Often delivered with: First aid and crisis team training.

Crisis Team training
Training focusses on the team dealing with remote incidents. Scenario-based learning encompasses leadership, teamwork, and communication skills using existing company processes and structures.
Location: Training is usually held in the environment in which incidents would normally be managed.
Duration: According to the client's needs; often 1-2 days.
Often delivered with: First aid and incident managment training.

Travel Safe
Travel Safe is one day itinerary-specific awareness training for workers travelling overseas Training encompasses basic health and hygiene, cultural awareness, threat assessment, language issues, emergency planning and response and communications.
Location: Client's choice.
Duration: Usually 1 day.
Often delivered with: Risk assessment and driver training.
Risk assessment training
This is training for workers operating in outdoor or remote environments. It comprises Threat Assessment (country or regional scale threats) and Risk Assessment (location and activity specific risks). Essentially, training also includes reactive or dynamic risk assessment, performed by the worker from moment to moment on the ground. Training is interactive and practical, and tailored specifically to the location and activities of the trainees. Training is beneficial both to those travelling and also their support teams back in the office.
Location: Client's choice.
Duration: Usually 1 day.
Often delivered with: Travel Safe and driver training.
Driver training
Level 1 - Driving skills: This is hard skills training for off-road, on-road, sand, snow, city and/or rural drivers. Training is suitable both for local drivers and ex-patriots. Training includes trailers, car maintenance and vehicle safety checks.
Level 2 - Skill development: This is remedial training and support for existing and new drivers, based on specific needs identified at level 1.
Level 3 - Ongoing training: This is ongoing management of the driving team, including refresher training, in-house training programmes and internal driver assessment support.
Location: Training is usually held in the environment in which the driver will operate; also UK-based.
Duration: According to the client's needs; often 1-5 days.
Often delivered with: Travel Safe and risk assessment training.

Technical support for learning and development activities
We can also support your learning and development activities by providing planning, facilitation or logistical support. We can also supply a wide range of venues to meet your exact requirements. We can work directly to you, or via another training provider. We can provide skilled facilitation to support your own hard skills trainers, or we can provide expert hard skills trainers to work alongside your own facilitators.
Location: The client's own, or a venue provided by us.
Duration: According to the client's needs.
Often delivered with: The client's own facilitators or trainers.
