What is it:
All childminders are required to have a valid early year's first aid qualification preferably upon registration if not within six months of receiving their registration certificate. This 12 hour Paediatric first aid course meets the requirements of OFSTED under the guidance issued by DfES (April 2004) complying with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
What’s covered:
- Introduction to paediatric first aid, choking, fractures burns and scalds
- Dealing with an epileptic fit, shock and anaphylactic (allergic) emergencies
- Control of bleeding including nosebleeds
- Resuscitation including CPR and unconsciousness
- Common childhood emergencies e.g. asthma and head injuries
Duration: 12 hrs (2 days)
Certificate: Certification valid for 3 years
Location: At your premises or at our training venue nr Basingstoke
